A postdoctoral fellowship supervised by Luiz Tosi and Otávio Thiemann is available for the project: "Defining the epigenetic landscape in Trypanosoma cruzi and Leishmania major cells subjected to DNA injury" under the UK Research and Innovation Agreement (UKRI) / MRC (Medical Research Council) / NF (Newton Fund) / FAPESP.
Candidates must hold a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology or Biochemistry. They must have prior knowledge in DNA metabolism and trypanosome biology. In addition, good command of written and spoken English is required, as well as great interest in working in an interdisciplinary laboratory environment.
The scholarship offers monthly fees of R $ 7,373.10, and also includes a technical reserve per year of 15% of the annual value of the scholarship to fund activities directly linked to the research project; moreover, for those who live more than 350 km from Ribeirão Preto, the grant provides R $ 7,373.10 for transportation costs and relocation to Ribeirão Preto.
