We have partnered with a large manufacturing company in the San Francisco, CA area to provide them with the Field Services Technician.

Responsibilities of the Field Services Technician:

Support all products, both for service and preventative maintenance calls

Manage and complete assigned work orders and close them within one week of the original assigned date

Train customers on all products, promoting products by application

Promote service contracts and spare part sales

Manage spare parts per the Code of Conduct

Be the point of contact for technical issues for sales representatives of his territory

Manage tool inventory, keeping all tools and instruments in good working condition

Perform start-up, commissioning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities

Responsible for communicating customer concerns and technical issues

Manage work-related travel arrangements within policy

Extensive domestic and some international travel

Requirements of the Field Services Technician:

HS Diploma/GED REQUIRED--Associates, Technical Degree Preferred--Bachelor’s Degree IDEAL--Equivalent experience considered

5+ years experience as a field service technician in a manufacturing/industrial environment repairing machinery

Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and PID’s

Experience and working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, steam, and PLC (Siemens) equipment systems

Familiar with LEAN manufacturing

Great communication skills

Able to travel 60% of the time with overnights included--international travel may be required --will need a passport
