Job Description

Techo-Bloc is on the hunt for our next skilled, passionate Quality Assurance Manager. Overseeing five US manufacturing plants, the QA Manager will evaluate our current practices, processes, and tools, and make recommendations to enhance and grow our capabilities.

Here is a snapshot of the day-to-day responsibilities:

Reviews current production systems and processes, identifying areas of improvement in regard to both industry and Techo-Bloc’s standards.

Establish standardized QA processes and implements them across all US manufacturing sites.

Collaborate with Techo-Bloc’s Canadian team to harmonize production conformance standards.

Monitors product conformance, ensuring quality of raw and finished goods.

Root cause analysis; reports and tracks any significant deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action.

Works side-by-side with QA team on the floor to coach, delegate and develop team’s skillset.

Drives the completion of QA projects by setting milestones, following up on assigned tasks and ensuring timely execution.

Reviews customer complaints in conjunction with inspection of the returned goods and relevant blueprints.

Acts as the primary point of contact for quality compliance from suppliers at multiple manufacturing sites.

Participates and makes recommendations for new product development.

Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) in Engineering, Material Science or related field (s).

5+ years’ of Materials Manufacturing.

3-5 years’ of Managing a Team.

Previous project management experience; ability to effectively execute QA testing and initiatives.

Strong familarity with QA reporting and industry standards.

Required Skills

Excellent communicator, both verbal and written. Ability to teach, train and explain methodology behind QA objectives.

Organized, detail-oriented; plans and prioritizes work to meet organizational goals. • Self-sufficient, problem solver. Gathers and analyzes information to troubleshoot issues.

Accountability: holds both self and team to meet commitments.
