We are seeking Medical Supply Technicians (MST) / Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team! You will be responsible for monitoring and providing patient care. These positions require you to be a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). The CRCST Certification is accredited by both the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). MST/CST shall perform services to work in decontamination, sterilization, examining, assembling, packaging, receiving, storing and distributing of supply items to wards, clinic units and operating room areas throughout the healthcare system.
Experience removing gross contamination and germicide. Visually examining items for damage, deterioration, or imperfections such as rust, pitting, and cracks. Package individual items or assembling items into sets or trays. Determine appropriate method of sterilization and attach chemical indicator tape to package. Sterilize items comparing control tests to determine that correct parameters (e.g. time, temperature, and pressure) are obtained. Arrange package that will permit effective penetration of the sterilizing medium. Place devices in the tray, selects correct wrapping for the tray, and wrap and label tray. Select correct sterilizing medium and cycles and operate sterilizer. Aerate gas-sterilized items for correct period of time. Monitor operation of sterilizer with prescribed tests. Distribute supply items to wards. Fill requests for items based on daily schedules of needs or on individual requisitions. Perform daily inventory of ward or unit supply areas and replenish to appropriate stock levels. Consult with customers on items in short supply or out of stock, recommending possible substitutions. Maintain records of stock levels and recommend revisions in stock levels as the need for supply changes. Receive new supplies, checks deliveries for quality, quantity, and price. Store items in accordance with inventory system. Assemble and load ward and operating room carts according to schedule and fill special and emergency requests for supplies.

Previous experience in patient care or other related fields
Familiarity with medical equipment and technology
May be exposed to surroundings which involve moderate risks or discomfort which require special precautions, i.e., infectious diseases, verbal and physical abuse from emotionally disturbed patients.
