This Birmingham Health System is assisting a large multi-specialty physician group in their search for a Board certified/board eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician for its office in Pell City, AL (35 miles east). Job features include the following.

Clinic expansion due to growth

Excellent urgent care feeds primary care

Prefer IM or FM new grads

MD or DO

American or Internationally trained

Practice started in 2001

Expected to see 25 – 30 patients per day

Lab in office

Imaging: MRI, US, Dexa, CT

Procedures: allow MD to take on what they want to do

45% Blue Cross from nearby Honda plant and school system

35% Medicare

< 5% Medicaid

Outpatient only

Practice is part of Complete Health

Day starts at 8:15 and out before 5.

Last patient scheduled at 4:15

11 Primary Care Physicians and 13 Nurse Practitioners

20 specialty physicians onsite during the month to provide seamless continuity of care

Outpatient only position

1:6 call on weekdays; 1:9 call on weekends
