Lead SBU Procurement program team Thermo King Transport Americas Sector Business Unit. Accountable for successful completion of Procurement projects within responsible plants, which includes Minneapolis, Hastings, Arecibo and Fremont. Accountable for team’s utilization of standard work including project tracking and documentation. Responsible for SBU Procurement goals and metrics including addressing any gaps in achieving these goals. Ensure alignment of regional category strategies with SBU and plant strategies and requirements and build alignment with core functions and stakeholders to execute procurement strategies to optimize supplier selection, performance, source change programs, VAVE and best in class preferred supplier leverage NPD programs. Supervises 9 employees: Senior Category Manager Engines, Procurement Program Manager (3), Procurement Program Manager Supplier Risk and Ops; Accelerated Development Program Associate, Senior Procurement Program Manager, Associate Program Manager; and Procurement Program Manager Bus and APU. Additional worksites: Hastings, NE and Fremont, OH.
5 years’ related experience as a Senior PPM Trailer EMEA or VAVE and Productivity Leader or related occupation. Experience is required and must include: Managing and leading a business facing procurement team including driving supplier process improvements, defining and deploying standard work in all areas including supplier selection, performance management, indirect supply management, productivity, lead-time reduction and SOMI deployment; Program management including coaching of program leaders from product management, engineering design and test, Manufacturing, service, quality, Marketing, aftermarket and procurement; Working with a HVAC related business in managing procurement project prioritization with key stakeholders in engineering, operations, finance and procurement; HVAC experience in the areas of Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Finance and/or Operations; and Handling supplier development, materials management including SOMI and supplier quality. 20% Domestic travel required and occasional travel Internationally to Puerto Rico.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business or Management.
