As an Early Learning Teacher, you will help create an environment rich for nurturing and developing our youngest participants by working with a team of teachers to implement daily lessons and provide classroom support in a structured and safe way. On a regular day, you will lead in an Infant/Toddler classroom, support social-emotional learning, develop classroom activities, and engage in play-based learning. You will display patience as you assist each child to mature cognitively and develop social skills as they interact with one another. Our Center thrives because of our supportive administration, reliable staff, and engaged parents. Classrooms at the Y are newly furnished with access to developmentally appropriate and recommended teaching tools and materials. Our centers are filled with natural light, creative learning spaces, newly designed playground areas for outdoor exploration, and incorporate multiple enrichment programs including swimming, gymnastics, sports, and more!
To thrive in this position, you must be consistent, accountable, reliable, and communicate effectively with parents and staff. To succeed in this position you must have a thorough understanding of child growth and development and the ability to respond to children in a positive and constructive manner.
