Position Summary

We are looking for a Laser/Turret Operator/Programmer for a metal fabricator located in Arlington Heights, IL. Laser/Turret Operator/Programmer sets up, adjusts, checks out programming and operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform a complex series of progressive turret punching operations. This role requires setting up machines. This is a full time direct hire position.

Compensation

Depending on experience. $17/hr and up

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience

Experience operating and setting up laser/turret combo machines

Experience with AMADA is a plus

Current working knowledge of AutoCad and/or Solidworks

Current working experience in sheet metal

Understanding flat blank development process

Ability to read manufacturing prints

Meticulous attention to detail and well organized

Strong math background

Follow all safety and work rules and practices

Passionate about prototyping and machining

Strong work ethic and highly motivated

Strong verbal communication skills

Independent and willing to take initiative

Able to work in a fast-paced constantly-changing environment with tight deadlines and occasional long hours
