The School is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Student-Athlete Health Services to fill a vital leadership role in the Athletics Department. This newly created full-time position will serve as our Head Athletic Trainer and manage all athletic training operations and athletic training staff. The director will also be responsible for the development of our athlete health services program in support of the overall health, safety, performance, and well-being of our diverse population of student-athletes in grades 6-12. This candidate must be an excellent leader, educator, and communicator, with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective, positive relationships and interactions with diverse groups of students, coaches, faculty, staff and parents, in order to be able to step into this exciting new role. As such, the director will play an important role in helping to advance the culture and direction of King Athletics.
Requirements and Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field. Must be Board of Certification (BOC) certified and possess, or be able to obtain, CT state athletic training licensure. National Provider Identifier (NPI) number required. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant athletic training and leadership experience at the secondary school, college, or pro level.
