We are seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Quality Assurance Manager to be an individual contributor and lead testing initiatives for this growing innovative industry-leading fintech firm headquartered in Tampa Bay.

In this lead role, you will be responsible for executing both automated and manual tests to safeguard the quality of products and services as well as enhancing test coverage by updating and creating manual and automated test cases. This position is a full time (Direct Hire) role for local candidates only or candidates willing to come to the Tampa area.

DUTIES:

Review and analyze release requirements to validate correct test coverage updating and/or creating test cases to assure proper test coverage of any new or modified functionality

Collaborate with QA assigned shared resources to develop effective strategies, policies, procedures, and test tools

Consistently execute test cases (manual and/or automated) and analyze results in a timely manner

Evaluate product functionality, stability, and usability according to requirements

Generate logs to document testing phases and defects

Effectively document bugs and reproducible errors to development teams

Help troubleshoot Production issues

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of QA experience in software/hosted service products

Very high technical competence including familiarity with database management (Maria, Couch, and Mongo DB) Windows, and Unix operating systems

Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Ability to work independently on major projects with minimal supervision

Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices, and defect management practices

Understanding of development tracking tools such as GitLab and Atlassian (Jira)

Proficient with Postman, SoapUI, Browserstack, and Selenium

Knowledge of the payments industry, third party processors, payment gateways, point of sales, and/or property management systems

PREFERRED:

Understanding of QA functions in an Agile/Scrum SDLC methodology

Experience in the Retail, Lodging, Restaurant, and Ecommerce industries

Experience with the Verifone VX, MX, E, and Engage series payment devices – a plus

Programing languages: Java – a plus

Knowledge of PCI and PA-DSS standards – a plus

Bilingual in English and Spanish
