TITLE OF POSITION: Aviation Sales Representative


REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager

Position Summary

The Aviation Sales Representative works together with field sales staff as part of a sales team. This position offers leads, prepares quotes, follows up on quotes, and assists in closing sales. This position uses database tools to contact prospective customers and seeks sales opportunities to provide solutions to customer’s needs. The Aviation Sales Representative also performs market research, analysis and produces reports for management.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Assimilate on-going research for sales leads utilizing database tools

Prepare project quotes utilizing customer requirements

Prepare and submit sales forecasts and weekly activity reports

Generate competitive matrix

Prepare data for business and price/cost analysis

Interpret data, formulate reports and present recommendations

Use market research to recommend changes to sales techniques, procedures or promotional efforts

Support various conferences, exhibitions and conventions

Support sales and marketing projects

All other duties being relative to the basic function of the stated position

Required Qualifications

Experience conducting sales and marketing research, analyses, and interpretation

Experience preparing quotes, following up on quotes and selling products

Must be able to multi-task, organize and be proactive

Ability to present findings of research, translate the data into understandable information and easily communicate complex ideas

Motivated to sell company products, work with customers to find solutions

Ability to work within a team environment to achieve results and goals

Expert knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, ACT!, statistical packages and databases

Must be determined and driven to succeed, enthusiastic, passionate, and personable


2-5 years of successful selling and market research analysis


Associates Degree preferably in Marketing or Business or equivalent experience


Documented US Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status
