Our client is open to someone without a degree, but the directly applicable experience. The candidate needs experience in managing the numbers, input, analysis, and accounting side of inventory, not as the person counting how many items are on shelves in a warehouse, or in a retail setting.

Skills: Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting or Cost Accountant
MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and macro, etc.)
MUST HAVE Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc
ERP system experience, Inventory experience within the manufacturing and distribution industry, Mathematical/business-minded.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to quickly learn new concepts.
This would be a remote start, candidates would need to come into the office periodically, likely about once per month minimum for inventory, and once COVID allows people to safely be back in the office, they would be expected to be in the office every day.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
Verifying accurate moving-average costs.
Prepare analyses of various account balances and assists in the monthly close process.
Process specific inventory related invoices and submit for payments.
Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories.
Provide summary reports to management related to inventory value/quantity change.
Special projects as required
ADVANCED MS Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, and macros)
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in Manufacturing/Distributing environment
Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to details
Ability to collaborate with all levels of staff
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
