Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager:
Oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance and quality control practices across QMS projects.
Investigate root causes of quality management issues, recommend and implement corrective actions, and assess impacts of actions taken.
Work with cross-organizational teams to develop processes and author standards, guidelines, best practice documents, and other resources to support quality management.
Provide expertise for quality and quality management systems requirements.
Participate in internal audit groups to assess compliance with requirements and identify good practices and areas for improvement.
Support regular monitoring and reporting of quality measures and quality program activities.
Develop and deliver training and seminars on quality management and security topics.
Develop, maintain, and support the quality systems infrastructure within the corporate structure.
Provide quality engineering support for manufacturing and management.
Analyze data and identify improvement opportunities.
Act as the quality interface for a production team in responding to customer complaints in the development of corrective and preventative actions and trend analysis.
Act as liaison for the customer and third-party audits, including determining proper corrective and preventative actions.
Supports and complies with the company’s Quality System, ISO, and customer requirements.
Develop and improve standard work instructions with the hourly and the salaried staff.
Plan and coordinate quality planning meetings.
Coordinate change management and risk assessment requests.
Requirements of the Quality Assurance Manager:
BS Degree in a related Engineering field
3+ years experience in a similar ISO9001 manufacturing or industrial environment
Demonstrated ability to drive change through defining the scope and attaining objectives
Specific experience with quality management within professional services or scientific organization
Working knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, military, and commercial applications
Able to conduct and document internal quality audits
Perform and document root cause and corrective actions
Microsoft Office proficient and knowledge of ERP software
Able to communicate with all levels of personnel
Able to follow through on commitments and hold team members accountable
