Manage, direct and coordinate the Quality staff activities and budgets at the Canning Plant. Assure that ingredients, packaging and finished products meet established specifications, that manufacturing procedures are followed and that the plants are operating in conformance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Responsible for all quality issues in the Canning Plant operation, Quality staff, the inspection programs, budgeting and to assure compliance of operations in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Promptly reports all non-compliances to appropriate management personnel and initiates corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
B.S. in Food Science or related field and several years of broad-based food canning processing experience, in Quality and Technical Services.
GFSI experience (BRC experience preferred)
Six Sigma background
Strong supervisory and communication (oral and written) skills are essential.

Supervises: Quality Supervisors, Inspectors and Technicians
