Developing consistent sample collection procedures (biomedical sciences)

Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the above mentioned.

Developing signal processing algorithms to minimize noise and other interferences for use with machine learning and AI techniques.

Diagnose and interpret bioelectric data, using signal processing technique

Evaluate the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.

Teach other team members (software engineers & machine learning engineers) about biomedical engineering knowledge through consultations

Advise and assist in the application of instrumentation in clinical environments (demonstrating to nurses and clinical personnel)

Incoming optical equipment quality control

Installing optical hardware, calibration of wavenumbers, power and relative intensity of the Raman spectrometers using NIST standards

Conduct training or in-services to educate clinicians and other personnel on proper use of equipment

Analyze new internal medical procedures to forecast likely outcomes

Keep documentation of service histories on all biomedical equipment.

Hardware components development:

Use CAD to design hardware attachments to ensure signal consistency

Testing and optimizing the designs to scale up for mass production

Novel technology development:

Performing literature search to find new advancements in biomedical technologies

Conduct research and collaborate with optical and biomedical sciences

Conducting experiments on laser light to biological sample interaction

Analyzing experimental results to find optimal parameters for data collection

Preparing reports, certificates and regulatory compliance documentation for the FDA authorization submission.

Work Schedule:

• Number of hours per week: 40 hours per week

• Daily Work Schedule: Mon to Thurs: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (with 1-hour lunch) & Friday 8:00a.m. -1:00 p.m.

U.S. Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering

Skills: Graduate coursework in:

Biostatistics (3 credits)

Engineering Physiology (3 credits)

Modern Biomedical Technologies (3 credits)
