Timely development of accurate and innovative bench validation solutions for analog and mixed-signal devices
Testing and troubleshooting the devices in the lab to identify device issues
Documenting issues and working with the IC designer to identify the root cause and the proposed fix for each issue
Developing a detailed test plan for datasheet specifications and system tests and defining the instrument resources required to perform each test
Working with the systems engineer to help define the system level validation tests for customer use conditions, voltage and temperature extremes
Designing test fixtures, lab boards, and working with IC socket vendors
Driving key validation reviews (E.g. Test Plan, Schematic and Layout, Software, Silicon Evaluation).
Analysing statistical data and translating this into operational limits to guarantee device performance
Correlating bench results with production ATE equipment
Evaluate and characterize high speed communication products using bench test equipment including signal generators, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and network analysers.
BS or MS degree in EE or equivalent with 5 years of relevant work experience
Strong electronics engineering knowledge in analog, digital, power electronics and signal processing. This includes understanding of mixed signal building blocks such as ADC, DAC, PLLs, amplifiers, signal processing algorithms and measurement methods as well as IC control/communication protocols using microcontroller and FPGA
Software development experience that includes one or more of the following: C, C++, Python, Verilog.
Knowledge of IC fabrication and wafer fab process technology includes CMOS/BiCMOS/DMOS
Familiarity with IC micro-probing & wafer level FA tools
