Leddy Group is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and to work with the independent audit firm to deliver annual audited financial statements for 2 related companies. This is a great opportunity to work with a 5-star hospitality venue in central VT.
Responsibilities of this role:
Daily, monthly, and annual review of the general ledger and reconciliation for all general ledger accounts.
Perform daily reconciliation of all operational accounting transactions from the guest ledgers to the general ledger.
Oversee payroll, payroll tax processing, and filing, and benefit administration through Paymaster payroll software. Work with Human Resources Manager to ensure timely and accurate processing of all employment changes and compliance with federal and state labor law regulations.
Provide support for all IT functions including needs assessment, inventory, and condition of all computer hardware and software.
Requirements of the Accounting Manager:
Minimum experience of 3 years as a manager in general ledger accounting, payroll, through financial statements and annual certification of records by an independent accounting firm.
Demonstrated record of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. High level of attention to detail.
Familiarity with hotel accounting and operations.
Previous experience with IT management and administration.
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science, Major in Accounting.
Previous experience in a full charge accounting position. Customer service essential with hospitality experience highly desirable.
Well developed computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, some network administration, server maintenance. Familiarity with hotel property management systems.
