Provide direct patient care in the outpatient and inpatient settings, to include consultations, interpretations, performing procedures and treatment of advanced pediatric neurology cases. Teach medical students and residents in both lecture and clinical settings. Precept nurse practitioners in the Division of Pediatric Neurology. Read EEGs performed at Prisma Health Richland and in Pediatrics. Teach medical students who rotate through Pediatric Neurology and participate in curriculum development. Supervise and teach residents while in training, working with the residency program director to meet ACGME requirements for the Pediatric Residency Program. Coordinate Neurology resident education and scheduling. Contribute to clinical research. Collaborate on national and international pediatric neurology clinical trials. Engage in scholarly activities including presentations and publications collaboratively with other faculty and residents. May perform work at outreach clinics/satellite offices of PH USC Medical Group in SC as needed.
Board eligibility in Pediatrics and Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Child Neurology and fellowship training in pediatric neurology areas including pediatric seizures, stroke, headaches, muscle disease. Valid South Carolina medical license required.
MD or DO degree.
