Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope and develop/update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing. Develop and manage Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of information technology projects. Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as program and project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing. Design, review, enhance architecture and framework, and manage large scale architecture interfaces. Delivers business intelligence solutions, using agile methodology, by researching, planning, communicating, managing process across the IT team and other departments and utilizing data from, Financial, HR, AS400, Mainframes and other enterprise systems and applications. Responsible to manage IT programs/projects through the application of generally accepted project management principles and XPO project management methodology including agile project management. Manage projects/programs with geographically dispersed teams for data integrations, system consolidations, software development, business onboarding projects, and other tasks. Design, document software architecture and high-level design for large/mid-size projects. Research and recommend new product ideas/innovations on new and emerging technologies, information technology strategies, policies and procedures evaluating organization outcomes. Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances. Completes IT projects by facilitating resources and timetables within IT and across other departments at XPO by analyzing data and writing complex SQL statements. Identify team competencies and define training plan for project teams and supervise personnel. Utilize technologies like Microsoft SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI, DAX queries to build Datawarehouse solutions. Involvement in staffing decisions and work on resource procurement activities. Analyze data and understand trends/relationships and build analytical models. (Supervises work of others, but has no authority to hire/fire/discipline.)
TRAVEL: Infrequent travel required.
Requires good SQL skills (complex queries and joins). Requires experience working with Microsoft BI tools such as SSIS and SSAS, PowerBI, PowerBI Gateway, Writing Dax queries and MicroStrategy. Requires good knowledge of Logistics, Transportation and Supply Chain. Requires good knowledge of Project Management Methodology and proficiency in Microsoft Project and Atlassian Jira. Requires familiarity with HRMS applications such as SuccessFactors, and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
(1) A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or a related field plus 2 years of IT Project Manager and/or Software Architect experience;
(2) A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or related field plus 5 years of IT Project Manager and/or Software Architect experience.
Foreign equivalents accepted.
Must have passed Scrum Master Certification at some point, but does not need to be currently valid.
