SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a HR Generalist for our client in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This person will serve as a liaison for management regarding human resource issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to handle conflict resolutions.
Establishes and maintains positive employee relationship including employee issues while providing advice and coaching at various levels.
Stays up to date on all applicable regulatory issues and maintains accurate files and records.
Actively participates as part of HR operations team and provides direction to other team members including HR Representative or HR Administrator.
Manages recruitment and onboarding process.
Serves as primary solutions group contact for temporary agencies for order fulfillment
Conduct investigations as needed with appropriate management/partners.
Facilitates communication within business unit including leading monthly meetings.
Assist with events and programs pertaining to employee recognition.
Frequent use of HRIS systems and computer applications.
Provides effective counsel and mediation on education for employee developments and growth.
Associate Degree with 5+ years of experience, or high school diploma/GED with related certification and 10+ years of experience.
HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
HRIS experience required.
Knowledge of Taleo application tracking, ICON, Kronos, safety management programs, and Microsoft Office suite.
Experience working with temporary employees and agencies preferred.
