Salary Position: $32,000-$36,000 DOE

Located in Downtown Tulsa

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing daily store operations in a clean, safe environment, driving store performance, providing an exceptional customer experience, developing strong, knowledgeable teams, and working alongside the store operations manager and store owner to maximize the profitability of the store.

Essential Functions :

Adhere to company standards and service levels to maintain profitability and other controllable costs.

Ensure all financial (invoices, reports) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Understand and appropriately communicate operational KPIs.

Maintain health and safety standards as outlined by Health Department codes.

Place store orders and maintain appropriate inventory and establish pars.

Understand and enforce all appropriate personnel policies, security and safety procedures, as well as cash handling.

Evaluate the performance of and develop staff.

Provide oversight of training program for baristas, shift supervisors, and Certified Barista Trainers.

Develop effective schedules optimized to meet profit and sales targets.

Manage the day-to-day procedures; hire and evaluate staff.

Communicate with store operations manager in a regular and timely manner.

Ensure a high quality of service and guest experience.

Exhibit strong cash handling skills, be able to accurately process credit cards and gift cards, and ensure a balanced till at the end of each shift.

Investigate and react to downtown events that will impact store activity.

Complete initial Store Training and pass barista certification with a score of 90% or better.

Demonstrate and reinforce coffee shop values.

Lead store meetings at regular intervals.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Business minded individual with experience in a sales focused environment.

Ability to work weekends and evenings on a regular basis, work any shift, and work over 40 hours as needed.

Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of coffee company products and procedures.

Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal.

Two years of quick service restaurant experience required.

Five years of customer service experience required.

Prior cash handling experience required.

Food Safety Manager Certificate required.

Associates Degree in related field preferred.

Previous experience with Micros or other Point-of-Sales systems preferred; solid understanding of computer operating systems.

Previous coffee barista experience preferred.

Physical Activity: Work regularly requires stooping, bending and lifting, carrying or moving objects up to 40 pounds. Duties require standing/walking and remaining on one’s feet in an upright position at a workstation or moving about a work area up to 90% of the time. Duties require continual precision work with hands such as holding, grasping or turning. Occasional kneeling or crawling on hands and knees and/or assuming awkward positions is required. Sensory requirements include hearing and talking to exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, tasting/smelling to distinguish with accuracy the intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors, and clarity of vision.

Work Environment: Work environment involves everyday risk or discomforts which require normal safety precautions, e.g. use of safe food handling and workplace practices with office equipment, and/or avoidance of trips and falls. Work is essentially conducted in an environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditions.
