Title: Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Buffalo, NY

Duration: 18 months (Contract)

Roles & Responsibilities:

*) Provides ERP data readiness and conversion support of item master, contract prices, vendor master, purchase orders, contracts and inventory management in support of Workday implementation.

*) Evaluates purchasing options and gathers information to support decision making.

*) Places and follows up on orders for materials, equipment, merchandise and supplies.

*) Investigates and resolves disputes or questions related to price, delivery or specification.

*) Reviews match exceptions in conjunction with Accounts Payable.

*) Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department; maintains, distributes, analyzes and projects information for required records, reports and statistics as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

*) Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or a related field or Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time purchasing or data processing/analysis experience in a healthcare, business or corporate environment; or High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time purchasing or data processing/analysis experience in a healthcare, business or corporate environment.

*) Hands-on experience on Outlook, Excel, Word, Access

Preferred Qualifications:

*) Knowledge of Microsoft Products.

*) Highly organized with the ability to work independently in completing assigned tasks.

*) Critical thinker with the ability to propose process changes to the leadership team.

*) Excellent customer service skills, ability to prioritize work, attention to detail, knowledge of the purchasing process.
