One of our clients in Vancouver, B.C is seeking a Pharmacy Manager. The ideal candidate should be personable, patient, detail orientated and demonstrate an ability of being calm under a variety of situations. The Pharmacy Manager should also be comfortable in dispensing methadone.

The hourly rate for this position is between $45 - $50/hr. with weekday hours from 5:30 – 2:30, and weekend hours from 5:30 – 12:00. For this position you can work various 5 days of the week. The position also includes benefits that covers health/dental and a 2 week paid vacation.

Job Description:

•Ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff

•Oversee day-to-day operations of the pharmacy and ensuring that staff pharmacists are properly supported in their cognitive and patient care functions

•Ensures compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations, policies and procedures and accrediting body standards

•Continuous professional development to remain current on latest advances in pharmacy industry.

•Providing professional and clinical functions related to dispensing including pharmaceutical and clinical care, patient counseling, liaising with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible patient care

•Responsible for establishment and maintenance of effective communication, scheduling, and direction with pharmacy staff on a daily basis.

•Facilitate regular team meetings to communicate and implement new/existing policy and procedures

•Provide training and support the pharmacy team members in their professional growth and development

•Ensure proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.

•Perform patient focused services as deemed eligible and appropriate for the patients

•Ability to work collaboratively with the Front Store team to identify patient care opportunities.

•Oversees all aspects of the operations (order entry, customer service, dispensing, compounding, inventory management, invoicing, deliveries, etc.)


•Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy

•Licensed and in good standing with the college of pharmacists with the expectation of adherence to the Standards of Practice for Designated Managers in the province seeking employment

•Minimum 2 years pharmaceutical experience

•Must be comfortable dispensing methadone

•Experience with WinRx

•Excellent oral and written communication skills

•Strong customer/patient satisfaction orientation

•Ability to work efficiently by yourself and in a fast-paced team environment
