**This work location is a home office. Any qualified U.S. worker will be permitted to work from a home office within the New York City Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).
Conduct presales training, presentations, and demonstrations of complex, proprietary network security products for subordinate professionals and for current and prospective clients. Architect and provide deployment recommendations for proprietary solutions. Manage product implementations and integrations at client locations, working closely with Arbor Technical Assistance Center (ATAC) and operations teams. Perform technical product and system administration and user training for customers and partners. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical customer issues associated with company products and services, and replicate issues and test customer configurations in a lab environment. Leverage knowledge of security devices including routers, firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs), load balancers, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Distributed Denial of Service (DDos) to apply counter measures to mitigate evolving security threats in real time. Contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of specialized technical support protocols, procedures, and infrastructure. Provide technical guidance to troubleshoot high-level network security threats and product issues and advise clients on network security “best practices” and service-enabling protocols. Interface with internal Support, Engineering, and Product Management teams to identify, escalate, and resolve client issues.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 3 years of experience providing enterprise and service provider pre- and post- sales engineering services for a data network vendor, security vendor, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) vendor or network security company. Or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 5 years of experience in providing enterprise and service provider pre- and post- sales engineering services for a data network vendor, security vendor, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) vendor or network security company.
Also requires experience in the following skills: 1) Demonstrated expertise (DE) supporting complex multilayer sales processes, including Solution Partners, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Integrators, and Value Added Resellers (VARs); 2) DE leveraging knowledge of IP network security design and security operations for various network security solutions, including DDoS, firewalls, IDS, IPS, malware detection and quarantine, network Terminal Access Points (TAPs), and packet capture; 3) DE leveraging knowledge of enterprise routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and RIP for various network security solutions, including DDoS, firewalls, IDS, IPS, malware detection; and, 4) DE leveraging knowledge of virtualization and Cloud platforms, services, architectures, and designs; and hands-on experience with public, private, or hybrid Cloud capabilities.
