Investigate, plan. Implement, and recommend changes in plant manufacturing processes, material handling and process sequences to improve production operations. Research and recommend equipment purchases, modifications and replacements. Responsible for customer interface and project engineering in assigned areas. Perform manufacturing cost studies and recommend method changes to reduce costs. Participate and lead Lean and Six-Sigma activities to improve Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety. Work is guided by established company policy and quality requirements of both Quality Management Systems and customer requirements.
This position requires a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering. Proficient in AutoCAD, Experience in Process Development with Single and multiple spindle machines, Cam and CNC controlled, Machine selection, Fixturing, Tooling Type and feed and speeds. Experience with Mechanical and Robotic Auto-Feed systems for Manufacturing, Gaging, Sorting, and inspection. Minimum two to five years of production experience. Certified Six-Sigma Green Belt.
