Support the Shark Business with the development of successful and profitable programs for key products to ensure continued growth of the assigned portfolio. Work in a cross-functional team involving Product Development, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Compliance, Testing, Commercialization, Category Management, and Creative to execute comprehensive category strategies focused on driving growth and expansion of the global product portfolio. Identify gaps and opportunities for both the consumer and retailer in order to drive profitable business results. Act as the primary consumer advocate while championing the product vision. Leverage syndicated data, category, and industry trend information to help identify global business opportunities and marketing plans, business plans, and action plans against those identified targets that clearly define objectives, goals, win strategies, schedules and action assignments. Drive towards attaining short-range and long-range global business and product development objectives, driving profitability and supporting cost reduction initiatives on new and existing products.
4 years of experience working with cross functional partners (e-commerce, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, research, and sales) to develop and launch global new product opportunities. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section) – must have expertise in: Demonstrated expertise (DE) monitoring retail and ecommerce marketplace channel shifts and trends to identify opportunities to capitalize on both online purchase behavior and in store purchase behaviors; DE driving analysis from multiple data sources by understanding which metrics are key to identify product opportunities and growth to impact decision-making for global business development and strategy; DE in product development and in product lifecycle management, driving prioritization of projects and alignment on project milestones by building strong relationships with cross-functional partners, including global vendors, design, supply chain, quality, and sales to deliver new and improved products to market; and DE directing negotiation with vendors to drive down costs to deliver healthy product margin for business growth.
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Business Administration or related field
