SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Government Account Executive for our telecom client in St Louis, MO. This person will be responsible for identifying opportunities, and developing government sales in current and next-gen wireless communication solutions. This position will require prospecting, cultivating relationships and selling innovative solutions to reduce cost and improve business productivity to government (Federal, state and local) customers across New York State.
Recommend current and next-generation wireless telecommunication solutions, products and services to government customers.
Build and maintain strong business relationships with top- and mid-level officials.
Identify, access and call on key decision-makers, using creative sales approaches and strategies to develop new accounts.
Utilize strategic thinking and innovation to create opportunities for technological change based on customer needs; create, deliver and follow up on proposals and pricing quotes; and successfully close sales opportunities.
Provide customers with expert knowledge and assistance in mobility changes, cost/benefit analyses, implementation and training plans.
Understand and stay current on emerging wireless products and services, as well as general industry trends.
High school diploma/GED, Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
3+ years selling to State and Local Government Accounts (SLED) is preferred
Record of achievement in meeting / exceeding goals in a commissioned sales environment.
Wireless systems, telecom or high-technology industry experience preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills required.
Extensive travel within geographic area required, up to 75% or more.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, use of CRM Sales Management tools.
