Join a very successful, privately-owned specialty chemical company that has a stable and profitable client base of water treatment chemical and equipment applications in Ohio. As an Account Manager you will run your own business within a defined sales territory in the Dayton / Cincinnati Region. Primary application areas include boiler feed water, cooling water, and wastewater applications within food processing, beverage, commercial, institutional, manufacturing, healthcare, and light industrial facilities. This position is a HIGH VISIBILITY technical sales role that includes daily interface with Operations, Technical, and Senior Plant Management personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS for this position include:
B.S./B.A. degree required, Technical degree highly preferred (Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Math/Science)
5-10 years sales experience with industrial application of water treatment chemicals, services or equipment. Certified Water Technologist (CWT) or equivalent preferred
Industry knowledge within light industrial, commercial, and manufacturing markets
Strong relationship management skills and consultative selling approach
Technical knowledge of industrial boilers, condensers, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, HVAC systems, wastewater operations, specialty chemicals, membrane filtration systems, reverse osmosis (RO), deionization (DI), sludge presses, and/or clarifiers are a plus
Ability and desire to solve problems in a wide range of industrial process settings
Track record of consistent account maintenance and sales performance
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Valid drivers license with good driving record
Minimal overnight travel
