Job Summary:

The QTS Manager (Quality and Technical Services) will offer support to all departments including Sales and customers and communicate with CSA and other agencies. The QTS will oversee all activities of the department, such as overseeing the Quality Assurance Program, provide supervision to all floor personnel on all Quality matters, organize co-ordinate and direct activities to ensure that products produced and purchased meet required standards. The QTS Manager will also be required to be fully conversant with the standards RPI utilizes such as CSA, PPI, ISO 9001:2015, and be familiar with all of the ASTM Standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• In depth understanding of programs and standards such as ISO 9001:2015, FM, ASTM Standards and any other standards RPI utilizes now or in the future

• Manage and maintain all requirements of the Quality Management System

• Work and liaise with inspection and certification bodies e.g.: CSA, SAI Global, Utilities such as Enbridge, Union Gas.

• Inspect and test new products and resins for compliance

• Record and report scrap levels.

• Assist in the training of Quality Control Technicians and staff

• Develop and maintain a work bench program, and offer on-site training to various companies

• Handle all inquiries from the market for training purposes

• Design, develop and improve thermal fusion training courses

• Co-ordinate Quality requirements of the Design and Development Program

• Liaise with customers regarding quality issues

• Ensure the Quality Control Records are accurate and properly maintained

• Clear all products for Sale or Re-Sale

• Work on special projects when needed to determine paperwork requirements, timelines, scheduling, etc.

• Conduct and manage all in house testing

• Approve required drawings

• Work in compliance with the company’s Health and Safety procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
