The Parts and Service Salesperson will provide both service plans and replacement parts to the Detention Industry. Typical replacement parts include: replacement motors, switches, keys, gears, bearing, and more. Our Salesperson may have to identify the correct part or a suitable substitute based on an examination of the existing part or the customer's description of the problem. They also maintain inventory and track down rare parts for older devices and equipment.

Duties of a Parts and Service Salesperson

A parts salesperson determines the correct replacement or spare part for a customer by inspecting the old part, having the customer describe the problem and searching catalogs for stock numbers and prices. A salesperson may have to explain how a part functions, demonstrate proper use of equipment and provide advice and installation instruction to customers.

Salespersons will also process sales payments, examine exchanged parts, stock shelves, order parts from manufacturers and keep stockrooms organized. Salesperson will prospect and provide services over the telephone, email, social media or via our company's website with occasional on-site visits.

Requirements to Become a Parts Salesperson

Job duties require basic reading and computer proficiency, as well as the ability to deal with customers. Sales, service contract, customer service and shipping experience is a plus. Salesperson must be receptive to change in order to keep up with customer demands.

This is a Salary + Commission Compensation Plan
