Example of Duties

Coordinate records scanning in-house and with the contractor; monitor scanning schedule and quality; prepare and index documents for scanning; provide post-scanning quality assurance; label, file and transfer electronic records.

Under direction of the Records Manager, provide consultation to staff citywide on Records Management policy, procedures, and legal requirements.

Assist with maintenance and update of the records retention schedule, policies, procedures for records management, imaging, and protection.

Provide backup in responding to public records requests.

Work on special projects citywide to convert and organize current and historic paper records to electronic records as assigned.

Compile and maintain records statistics for agency reports.

Typical Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and some office or customer service experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
