Job Duties, including but not limited to:

Utilize pharmacy computer and robotic systems in accordance with MTF protocol.

Adhere to essential policies and procedures, including those relating to proper use of medications and the formulary.

Perform extemporaneous compounding and provision of bulk medications, ensuring there are no chemical and/or physical incompatibilities.

Order medications using the DMLSS system as allowable per Department of Defense policies.

Provide patient medication information and counseling.

Utilize available medication information reference materials.

Answer telephone call questions from patients or hospital staff on pharmacy-related issues.

Educate and orient self and other staff members to the operations and policies of the pharmacy department and clinic.

Education:

Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Or graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-based program) Or a formal medical services training program of the United States Military.

Experience:

A minimum of 1 year full-time experience within the past 3 years as a Pharmacy Technician.

Board Certification:

Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

Schedule:

Monday - Saturday

6:30 AM to 6:30 PM

Shifts to be determined.

No More than 40 Hours per Week
