Position: IT Enterprise Architect

Location: San Francisco, CA

Scope of Work

· Provide architectural services, consulting and technical leadership, for workstreams, projects and applications supported by the Judicial Council of California

· Participate in the ongoing development, refinement and leveraging of the JC and CCTC Technical

· Architecture as requested by the JC, with a focus on ensuring compatibility across application environments.

· Participate in developing the JCC Enterprise Architecture and related documentation, e.g. policies, standards, processes, procedures, guidelines and reference architectures.

· Attend and participate in ongoing technical and project team meetings

· Facilitate and coordinate technical issue identification and resolution between the JC and vendors in support of Judicial Council of California-sponsored development initiatives.

· Assist in the creation and assessment of request for proposals for vendor, software and hardware selection.

· Establish technology standards and policies, conducting research into a variety of technologies as required.

· Provide technical leadership and direction for the applications deployed into the CaliforniaCourt

· Technology Center and locally at the Judicial Council of California.

· Perform research and present researched technologies, proposed policies, standards and various analysis as requested.

· Research, prepare and publish architectural artifacts such as reference architecture and design patterns.

· Monthly status reports.

Key Personnel Required Skills

· 10+ years as an Enterprise/Solutions Architect or equivalent with extensive experience in designing distributed enterprise level architecture for mission and business critical systems.

· Demonstrate applied architectural methodology covering all full solution development life cycle from

· conceptual/ideation, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and operational readiness

· Strong system analysis skills experienced across the complete project lifecycle.

· Experience directing teams of architects, programmers, analysts and testers in a variety of small to large-scale projects.

· Experienced developing the technology solution requirements for customer request for proposals.

· Experience with cloud and virtualization technologies.

· Experience in developing and provide solution options and recommendations in an environment involvingmultiple datacenters: an in-house datacenter, co-lo datacenter, hosted datacenter, and Cloud datacenters

· including SaaS (Software as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) solutions.

· Must have strong communications skills, having the ability to communicate well with all levels of staff – executive management and both business and technical staff.

· Experience developing consensus with disparate groups, sometimes with competing agenda.

· Experience developing enterprise policies for management consideration.

· Experience in Microsoft Azure Identity Management and Azure Security Best Practices.
