Attention Commercial Lines Account Managers: Are you a whiz at managing a book of small business/select accounts? If you live in the Eugene, OR area and you want to work for a terrific agency and have lots of autonomy with your accounts, this could be your new home!
My client is a well-known insurance agency in Eugene, OR. This is permanent in-office account manager role with Mon to Fri hours, great benefits, continuing education, and free parking.
You will be responsible for a book of about $250,000 in revenue. The agency uses EPIC and is paperless. The vast majority of these clients have been with the agency for sometime and have total premiums under $10,000. You will do 90 day account reviews to determine if the account needs to be re-marketed, renewed with the current carrier, or to determine if business changes have occurred during the past policy period that require additional or amended coverage. You will not have a producer on these accounts. You will have tons of autonomy with your clients allowing you to build really strong lasting relationships.
You will also be given new business referrals from producers from the commercial department. You will determine which Carrier best suits the risk, and when needed, to determine a coverage issue, you may go out to the business to see the property. You will place most of your insureds with 5 to 6 of the small business standard carriers on a direct bill basis, however, when warranted, you may set up an agency bill or need to go to a wholesaler to find coverage. You will also decide if the account will be serviced in a Carrier service center or if they require service on more specific schedule. You will also work with Underwriters directly if you have a more complex coverage situation or question. Your goal will be to maintain a high retention rate and also grow the book by adding coverages and gaining referrals.
Candidates need to have an OR P & C license and be good at managing a Select/Small Business book of varied accounts. Generalist Commercial coverage knowledge is needed as well as good computer skills, efficiency, problem solving skills, and client facing expertise online, on the phone, and in person.
To apply, email your resume or call 425-298-0278. Out of town candidates moving to the Eugene area within the next 45 days are encouraged to apply.
