Year long contract position in Raleigh.

Provide technical expertise and leadership to internal business clients for related Information Security projects and initiatives by working with Information Security Management, external vendors and internal lines of business. Actively promote security standards, integrate solutions and maintain the strategic direction of Information Security by providing high-quality client services in the most productive and cost-effective manner possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with lines of business and internal IT groups in identifying areas for improvement and recommended solutions for more efficient interactions and ways in which to meet project goals.

2. Research clients’ needs to develop potential solutions by interacting with any internal and/or external solution providers and subject matter experts.

3. Communicate and document potential solutions, impact analysis, benefits/risks, implementation requirements, and recommended approach.

4. Research and presentation of findings for areas of interest in the Information Security space.

5. Partnering with the project team, coordination of project activities with supported technical and business areas

5. Remain aware of the corporate technology, infrastructure, standards, processes, and strategic direction and use these tools to help guide the client in accomplishing their business goals.

6. Adhere to all policy and standards, as well as regulatory requirements, regarding reporting and escalations.

Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training

2. Five years of demonstrated progressive experience in Information Security or Information Technology

3. Five years of demonstrated progressive experience in Project Management/Project Coordination

4. Clear ability to express complex multidisciplinary technical and business concepts in terms that are understandable to all levels of lines of business and corporate management, both verbally and in writing

5. Ability to grasp the big picture for a solution by considering all potential options and impacted areas

6. Aptitude to understand and adapt to newer technologies

7. Grounded understanding of applied enterprise information security technologies

8. Demonstrated a consistent history of delivering on commitments

9. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills

10. Ability to work independently with limited supervision

11. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to both business and technology audiences

12. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

13. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Desired Skills:

1. At least one of the following certifications or equivalent experience: Project Management Professional (PMP or PCI-ACP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification

2. Knowledge of financial services industry and all applicable regulations and industry standards

3. Experience with Agile Development Methodologies

4. Experience with Process Improvement/Lean Initiatives

5. Experience in the development of Strategic Roadmaps for Information Technology and/or Information Security
