A day in the life:
The successful Grant Accountant will be responsible for providing support to the Grant Writer and Accounting team for Financial compliance, Grant Billings, and Internal Reports. Analyzing data, Financial analysis, and strong written and verbal communication skills are a must to be successful in this role. General Ledger maintenance, preparing Reconciliations, and reviewing Financial Reports for accuracy will be very critical for success in this role.
Other responsibilities include assisting with issues related to Grants, understanding the Financial implications of Grants in process, preparing Budgets and quarterly Forecasts, and serving as the key contact for Financial and Grant Budget questions. What you will need:
2+ years of strong Not-For-Profit Accounting experience
2+ years of being exposed to Grant Accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
