The Quality Manager reports to the General Manager and ensures quality standards are met and aligned with legislation and customer requirements. The Quality Manager is responsible for the enforcement of quality standards, policies, procedures, controls and audits to ensure effective and efficiency of the quality program.

As part of the management team this position is jointly responsible for contributing towards the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational targets and overall business goals

• Provide leadership maintaining, directing and enhancing the Quality system and initiatives

• Collaborate with client Quality representatives and engineers, assume responsibility for ensuring products meet customer specifications and any necessary corrective actions developed and implemented

• Apply sound judgement in making quality related decisions and problem solving

• Employee performance management including monitoring, performance reviews, recommendations and discipline, as necessary

• Manager non-conformances, customer returns, root cause and corrective action process, certificate and first article inspection reporting

• Communication and implementation of Quality objectives, requirements and initiatives

• Conduct design/ build reviews including and critical dimension identification and tolerances


• University degree in engineering or equivalent

• ASQ certification or equivalent

• Minimum 10 years of direct quality work experience in precision machining environment

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with customers, vendors and internal departments of technical information

• Detailed oriented and analytical decision maker

• Ability to read, review and create technical documents

• Knowledge of precision measuring devices

• Working knowledge and application of statistical sampling

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015

• Strong understanding and commitment to applicable laws and regulations applicable to industrial establishments including ESA, OH&S Act, AODA and such
