Job description:

The successful Sales Manager will be a heavily sales and business strategy oriented individual responsible for identifying business growth opportunities and then driving profitable sales for our Manufactured Parts and Products Business Unit in the U.S. and Canada. The position requires an organized and detail-oriented individual that is comfortable working both collaboratively and making independent decisions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct sales and support activities in close collaboration with the products and marketing teams, and the Product Managers

Identify sales prospects and develop a sales strategy for each sales opportunity

Prepare product/pricing proposals, work with prospects, and negotiate directly with customers to close sales

Meet quarterly and annual sales goals as measured through bookings, revenue and net income

Report regularly (verbally and written) on activities, results and forecasting from within the territory

Help to develop and assist with the development of promotional material including sales literature, video content and related marketing materials as it relates to Products and Manufactured Parts Business Units

Assist with payments and account receivables from the customer base within the region

Interact with management, other internal departments, sales staff, and outside vendors as needed to achieve objectives as a key member of the sales management team

Education & Experience:

A four-year degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering or related technical field. Ten years of relevant sales or sales support experience in an industrial setting. A strong background of technical sales and/or services for turbomachinery or high-speed rotating equipment industries is required. Direct exposure to the design and/or manufacturing of pumps, compressors, turbines, gas turbine engines, or other high-speed rotating equipment or associated parts is highly desirable.

Bottom Line Requirements:

1. A four-year degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering or related technical field.

2. Ten years of relevant sales or sales support experience in an industrial setting.

3. A strong background of technical sales and/or services for turbomachinery or high-speed rotating equipment industries is required.

4. Direct exposure to the design and/or manufacturing of pumps, compressors, turbines, gas turbine engines, or other high-speed rotating equipment or associated parts is highly desirable.
