Company is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join our machine shop team. We are looking for a person with strong experience on CNC lathes or mills. We manufacture size reduction, sorting and handling equipment for the fiber and biomass processing markets in the US and globally. Machinist with a variety of CNC (and manual) experience operating and programming lathes and mills are optimal for our high mix low volume shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operating CNC equipment – (Okuma’s, Doosan’s, Mazak)

CNC programming, set-up and run (lathes, mills)

Working from blue prints and established programs

Performing set-ups and processing of heavy and large parts requiring over head and jib cranes for assistance, as well as, small parts loaded manually

Checking heights, depths and thicknesses using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision measuring instruments

Check and review data prior to starting a job – (drawings, materials, programs, tools, routers, etc)

Able to work in a team environment, get along with other people

Can do attitude

Flexible, adaptable and willing to do what is necessary to meet customer expectations


Able to work in a manufacturing/machine shop environment

Able to read CAD drawings

Strong understanding of GD&T principles

Experience with Renishaw probing

CAM Programming Software

Good mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity


4+ years of progressive experience in an industrial machine shop/manufacturing environment with the ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines, learn new tasks and skills, willingness to do what is necessary to get the job done right.

HS Diploma or GED.

* Minimum of four years experience in CNC machining.

* Mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm for learning a variety of skills

* Ability to continuously stand, repetitively grasp and repetitively use fine manipulation with the hands.

* May be frequently required to walk, bend squat, or twist as well as repetitively push or pull.

* Must have the ability to lift frequently up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 80 pounds with assistance

Math Ability:

Basic math abilities in order to check data, ensure correct information is received and sent, review and trouble-shooting data

Computer Skills:

Competent computer skills- MS Office products (primarily Word and Excel), Data Entry, experience working in ERP\MRP environments (Global Shop specifically).
