Job Specification:

Title: Engineering Technician

Duration: 12 Months

Location: St.Paul, MN, 55114

Description:

Engineering Technician will be providing verification and validation testing support for the DHF / EU MDR project.

Job duties:

Perform hands-on testing of products in the support of R&D. These activities require interaction with R&D, Operations, and Quality Engineering functions.

• Individual must work with minimal supervision, on assignments that are moderately complex and assure compliance with specifications and corporate regulations.

• Perform verification and validation testing.

• Develop and review technical content in the support of V&V activities, including protocols, spreadsheets, and reports.

• Design and validate mechanical fixtures required for product testing.

• Evaluate results from testing and determine the acceptability of the data.

• Must be able to collate data results and summaries for inclusion in final reports.

• Prepare new specifications as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must have good organizational, oral and written communication skills.

• Must understand visual and mechanical measurement techniques.

• Must have experience with common mechanical testing methods and instrumentation

Education / Experience

• Two year or better degree in a mechanical, biomechanical, materials, or similar discipline.

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a medical or regulated industry

• Experienced with all typical software tools (MS Office Suite, Minitab, CAD software – prefer SolidWorks.)-nice to have

Physical demands:

• Occasionally may be required to lift up to 25 pounds, and must be able to walk, stand, reach and bend.
