We are looking for college students currently majoring in either Finance, Management or Accounting to fill several internship positions within our tax company. This individual would be responsible for helping the tax manager prepare and electronically file yearly tax returns for middle class families while offering superior service, superior product, and encouraging constant innovation. The individual should be a team player and able to communicate through various levels in the organization. Must be flexible to the job description, and be able to take on new projects as they may come about.

Qualifications required:

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Management

• Ability to take on multiple tasks simultaneously and manage them all effectively

• Prior tax and financial services experience a plus but not required we offer a 3-week training session

• Strong computer software skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Proactive attitude

• Time Management skills

• High personal interaction skills and team player

• Bilingual a plus but not required

• Must have reliable transportation

• Must be available to work weekends and possibly evenings

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet Clients, provide superior customer service while maintain a professional appearance

• Responsible for Preparing federal income tax returns, state income tax returns and local income tax returns with proper duel diligence.

• Gather data and respond to notices from tax jurisdiction as assigned.

• Gather data necessary for state apportionment information.

• Gather data as necessary to support audits by Federal & State revenue agencies.

• Participate in departmental and divisional initiatives

• Assist in special projects as necessary

• Assist with all basic office duties

• Help increase sales through free estimates and referral cards and by developing leads with family and friends

• Help develop and implement the company’s marketing campaign, understanding there will be occasional foot work required

• Complete and file client’s folders after it has been reviewed by management, make sure folder is in the order shown on the Closing Paperwork Sheet

• Replenish Customer Service Clipboards as needed

• Assist with developing all company databases

• Complete daily opening, midday and closing checklist

• Responsible for collecting fees for all non-bank product returns up front, and reporting cash transactions to management

• Encourage constant innovation

• Clean Preparation Area/ Client Area

• Answer telephones

• Document and payout New Client Referrals
