Responsibilities of Electro-Mechanical Assemblers:

Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.

Hand solder surface mount and thru-hole components using microscope.

Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.

Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel.

Point to point wiring using wiring lists and or interconnect diagrams. Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.

Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in enclosures.

Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.

Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, and color coding parts and assemblies.

Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.

Performs online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards (may utilize a microscope). Report all defects using /non-conformances using the Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) form.

Accurately record daily time sheet/job orders.

Qualifications of Electro-Mechanical Assemblers:

Must possess a high level of experience and ability to assemble electrical and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies, electronic components and systems.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or five to seven years of electrical related experience including surface mount and thru-hole soldering experience and/or electromechanical assembly experience.

IPC-A-610 Certification, J-STD-001 Certification (Desired but not required)

Must be a US Citizen

Ability to pass all screenings related to a Department of Defense Clearance

Monday - Friday 1st Shift, flexible hours

$40-50K DOE
