The Quality Engineer provides technical expertise to assist in a variety of quality areas under the guidance of the Quality Manager.

• Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products.

• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering field.

• Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, testing measurement and analytical equipment and facilities.

• Continually work with customers and production to improve performance, implement process control and quality plans.

• Develop and administer the customer rejection program including requests for corrective action and customer quality metrics.

• Interact routinely with Engineering and Suppliers to proactively improve quality of products.

• Lead or participate in various development/improvement projects from quality engineering prospective.

• Perform Quality Systems audits and provide support for Quality Systems improvements.

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technical field

• 3 years Quality role (Quality System development, implementation, and/or execution) within a manufacturing environment

• Quality Concepts and tools such as sampling theory, statistical analysis, quality cost reporting, DOE, Lean, DMAIC, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans.

• Familiarity with general manufacturing practices, processes and product(s)

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Standard and ISO 14001 Standard

• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

• Dedicated, self-starter with a high degree of motivation, able to make independent decisions

• Familiarity with coating, converting and lamination of film product(s)
