Our client is currently looking for an accomplished Pharmacy Assistant to fulfill a Full Time Permanent position in Brampton, ON. This position would require a minimum of 2 years of experience in a community Pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate must be well experienced to work in a busy Pharmacy, in a great downtown Brampton neighbourhood.

Start Date: December 10, 2018 (ASAP)

Working Hours: Monday through Friday (9:00 am – 8:00 pm) Reduced Hours for Friday and Saturday

• Scheduling may be subject to change, based on the needs of the Pharmacy

Rate of pay is up to $18.00/hr, depending on experience!

Your role:

• Assisting the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging, and distribution of patient prescriptions

• Refill stock medication supplies for assigned areas

• Comply with provincial pharmaceutical regulations, adhere to provincial practice standards and guidelines

• Maintain medication profiles on patients with accuracy and ensure the information is updated in the pharmacy computer system

• Assist with cashier responsibilities as required

• Complete reports and documentation as required

• Other duties under the direction of either the Manager or Supervisor on duty

Desired qualifications:

• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program at an accredited college is a must

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical arithmetic, terminology and aseptic techniques

• Highly proficient in Kroll

• Work experience in large volume store

• Ability to work independently as well as in team environment

• Ability to assess and solve problems

• Outstanding interpersonal, conflict resolution and teamwork skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
