We are seeking an EMC Cheese Product Development expert to join an internal team of multiple scientists who have expertise in a variety of other disciplines. Strong collaborative communication style is required.

Responsibilities:

1. Unique role can be hired at many different levels of experience to include Scientist I, Scientist II, Scientist III or Senior scientist

2. Opportunity for rapid advancement as the Principal Dairy/Cheese Scientist wants to retire in 2 years

3. Strong knowledge of EMC Cheese product development needed with a major food or ingredients company

4. Knowledge of how to change cheese flavors and solid understanding of profiles

5. Good working knowledge of dairy blends

6. Ability to apply new technologies to finished products

7. Travel up to 50% to client location and act as Subject Matter Expert

8. Ability to gain the trust and confidence of internal and external business partners

9. Some experience with spray dry dairy powders is a huge plus

10. Role supports internal partners as most valued client

11. Develop enzyme modified cheeses for use in dairy product development

Qualifications:

1. Must have a BS degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Food Engineering or related Field

2. MS and/or PhD preferred

3. Experience can range from min 2 years to 10+ years of cheese product development

4. Prefer at least 1-2 years of spray dry dairy experience

5. MUST operate with high sense of urgency to drive results and deliver team value
