Job Opportunity:

Under the general supervision of the Principal, the Nutritional Aide II/Nutritional Lead will perform a variety of general clerical duties to include: NSLP training, cashier duties involving receiving, collecting, counting cash, checking, reconciling, maintaining cafeteria accounts, monies and records, make deposits, and coordination of NSLP electronic record system. Provides supervision and coordination of Nutritional Aides. This position is in El Centro, CA.

Essential Duties:

Use electronic monitoring computer, computes bills, collects cash and make change for students and adults for food products.

Counts, reconciles, and prepares monies collected for deposits.

Performs meal count checks, edit checks for meal systems.

Maintains record of cash as it is received by posting, computing and comparing with daily sales data.

Operates kitchen equipment, oversees kitchens to ensure cleanliness.

Ensures kitchen staff sets up cafeteria tables, trays, serving counters, ovens, refrigerator and other food service equipment and machines, monitors Kitchen Aides to ensure proper food storage requirements are being met on a daily basis.

Assists Kitchen Aides, develops schedules for rotation of staff on a monthly basis.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, including courses in bookkeeping, business machine operations, business arithmetic or related areas.

Must have at least 1-3 years of institutional cooking experience.

Must have valid Food Handler's card.

Must be able to successfully pass fingerprints and criminal investigation screening.

Must have valid Driver's license and must meet insurance guidelines established by the Corporation.

Minimum of 6 months experience dealing with the public and/or students.

Must have the ability to run a kitchen and ensure food safety regulations.

Must have knowledge of basic kitchen and food serving utensils and equipment.

Must have knowledge of basic methods of food preparation.

Must have knowledge of sanitation principles applicable to food serving, kitchen cleanliness and maintenance.

Must be CPR/First Aid certified.

Must have the ability to obtain a TB test and health screening, and meet all pre-hiring requirements.

Must be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Office.

Must be able to read food menus.

Must be able to cook.

Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
