This is an incredible opportunity to join Hard Rock Concrete, a leading mid-size concrete contractor providing design-build and plan to specification concrete services for industrial, commercial and multi-unit building projects throughout the Southeast. Hard Rock Concrete is a Concrete Contractor that specializes in heavy foundations and walls. Hard Rock Concrete is based out of Conyers, GA and focuses on Hospital, Hotels, schools, retail, and municipal projects ranging from $1M to $25M.

We have an *IMMEDIATE*opening for a Project Engineer.

Hard Rock Concrete is currently seeking a Project Engineer with experience in commercial / industrial construction. Experience in concrete foundations and walls is a plus. The candidate must have a minimum of 1-3 years of relative experience.

Minimum Requirements

- Degree in Construction Management or an Engineering related degree a plus.

- Proficient use of a computer and tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Read and understand plans and specifications.*

• Perform quantity takeoffs.**

• Perform solicitations to Vendors and Subcontractors.**

• Work on project site to observe progression.**

• Able to generate change orders for the project using estimating software.**

• Communicate roll out of projects with Project Manager, Superintendent and field personnel.**

• Perform safety requirements and ensure that risks are mitigated.** OSHA 30 a plus.

• Able to work and assist others to work in a safe manner within the guidelines of the company’s policies.

• Perform submittals to agencies as required for construction of project.**

• Review and analyze job cost information – verify accurate and complete, address and or correct as necessary.**

• Communicate with Project Manager and Superintendent on a regular basis to ensure project issues and concerns are addressed.**

• Generate billing quantities from information provided by field personnel and contractual requirements.**

• Build closeout documents “AS-BUILTS”, O&M, & Warranty packages.

• Provide clear step-by-step directions and answer questions while organizing the project.*

• Willingness to work nights and weekends if required.

• Other duties as required.

Salary:

• $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
