Perspecta has an immediate need for a Command Center Watchstanderin Norfolk, VA.

Perspecta has an immediate need in our US Public Sector group for an Command Center Watchstander in Norfolk, VA.

Oversight of lifecycle for Government Directed Actions to ensure implementations are completed in accordance with established timeframes. Ensure real time information exchange of operational, critical situations, and disaster preparedness to operational customer. Assist with and occasionally hosts business continuity restoration calls. Utilize internal systems to report incidents to leadership.

Take escalations if any alerts/events are identified by monitoring analysts as significant and requiring action. Perform initial assessment and triage on the criticality and impact of events and engages the appropriate processes and personnel if escalation outside OC is required. Ensure the Watch Officer is apprised of all details regarding an event or incident in order that the issue can be assigned the appropriate priority based on scope and impact. Assist with the creation of PowerPoint slide decks as needed.

Provide support to Site Operations and other external organizations through the use of problem resolution skills and independent decision making. Maintain timely (5 minutes or less) response to network infrastructure warning, critical and fatal event alert notices. Responsible for generating well-documented Critical Incident Reports for leadership.

Evening shift:

6pm EST to 6am EST

Sunday thru Tuesday, every other Wednesday OR

Thursday thru Saturday, every other Wednesday

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

•CompTIA Security+ CE Certification, or higher,

•DoD SECRET Clearance,

•Must be able to work on-site

PREFFERED:

•Degree (technical field); may hold Bachelors degree

•4 years experience supporting a large-scale networks or data centers

•Excellent expert-level written and verbal communication skills.

•Ability to Communicate Technical Information to Peers, Leaders, and Project Managers
