Perspecta’s talented and robust workforce 14,000 strong stands ready to welcome you to the team. Let’s make an impact together. Perspecta has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager supporting our USMC Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) customer on location in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The project manager will plan, direct, and coordinate a cross-functional team's activities to manage and implement project and/or interrelated projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage. He/she will determine, monitor, and review all project/program economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, sub-contractors, resources and risk. They must identify and assemble the appropriate blend of resources to meet project/program needs and requirements; including sub-contractor selection. Routine activities and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the project/program.

•Leads the project/program team(s) in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans.

•Ensures adherence to legally binding contracts, estimates, and schedules.

•Proposes and develops add-on program opportunities.

•Mentors and trains the customer and/or vendor in project management methods, procedures, and activities.

•Controls project/program requirements, scope and change management issues.

•Coaches and counsels members of cross-functional teams to accomplish project/program goals, to meet established schedules and resolve technical/operational issues.

•Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key program criteria.

•Determines and installs appropriate automated systems for management of projects.

•Identifies and recommends contingency measures.

•Facilitates the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders.

•Advises senior management on project management capability and risk.

•Maintains awareness on emerging technologies and project/program management techniques.

The selected PM must have nine to twelve (9-12) years of related experience in Project Management lifecycle activities and extensive knowledge of Project Management methodologies.

Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or another related field.

A certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.

This position is certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) level II.

Must have active DoD security clearance.


Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or other related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified preferred. Nine to twelve years of related experience in Project Management Lifecycle activities.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of key policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management. Speaks with authority to most layers of depth related to project management methods.
