IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for OUTSIDE TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES for our International client working the Northern Alberta territory.

Our client is a globally active mechanical engineering corporation and manufacturer and provider of special sealing systems for industrial applications. As technology leader, they set benchmarks in the sealing industry by way of ground breaking innovations.


Our client a Global company that provides a diverse product line of seals, expansion joints and magnetic couplings is looking for an OUTSIDE TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES for Alberta reporting to their Edmonton office. As the OUTSIDE TECHNICAL SALES REP, your responsibilities will include the following:

Identify, qualify and secure sales opportunities for our client’s represented products in the prescribed markets and territory;

Develop, nurture and maintain close working relationships with the decision-makers in the assigned markets;

Help to create market exposure for our client’s represented products;

Maintain close working relationships with the Divisional Sales Manager for our client’s represented products, and solicit their assistance in development of identified accounts;

Work efficiently with other internal partners to create excellence in the client experience to build close and profitable relationships.


A minimum of 5 years in sales with a successful track record; preferably with a background in seals;

Technical education and background, C.E.T preferred;

Excellent communication, presentation, time management and organizational skills;

A drive to win and the motivation to be professionally successful within a team environment;

Ability to respond quickly and precisely to customer challenges;

Understand Basics of Mechanical Seal function & Repair and / or knowledge of fundamentals of rotating equipment;

Knowledge of measuring instruments;

Ability to work under pressure;

Requires good judgment and a professional demeanor;

Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, Database & Maximizer, (or other Account management software);

Strong network at all levels in oil and gas industry with a focus in Alberta.

Extensive travel via automobile is required.

Salary is negotiable with an excellent benefits package after 3 months.
